Announcement: thematic exhibition dedicated to the 155th birth jubilee of the sculptor Paolo Troubetzkoy

Museum Collection presents a thematic exhibition dedicated to the 155th birth anniversary of the eminent sculptor Paolo Troubetzkoy.

Paolo Troubetzkoy is a unique master, great artist that holds a special place in the history of world art culture. The innovator boldly experimenting with the form and materials, he is rightfully considered as one of the first Impressionist sculptors. It is worthwhile noting that currently the collection of works by Paolo Troubetzkoy, built up by David and Mikhail Iakobachvili, is one of the largest in the world. It unites art items covering all periods of the sculptor's work, created both abroad and during his stay in Russia. The sculptor's singular and sought-after works merit special attention and clearly demonstrate his extraordinary creative talent.

Since February 18, a thematic tour of the jubilee exhibition will be launched at the museum site. It will acquaint visitors not only with the items that are stored in the museum repository, but with highlights from the artist's creative biography as well. The schedule will be available on the museum website in the section “Contacts” on Sunday.
