The disc music box is mounted in vertical rectangular fine wood veneered case. A door with an arched glazed window is the case facade. Lathe fluted ornately shaped columns with Ionic capitals are fixed on both sides of the window. Two triangular acoustic windows, closed with openwork carved lattices with foliage ornament are above the arch. Balustrade with lathe phials in the corners is above the massive stepped cornice with the inscription “Polyphon”. Cast rosette with a slot for coins, nameplate with inscription in German and keyhole with onlay are on the case right lateral side. Spring engine that is activated when a coin is dropped in. Musical movement on cast mounting plate is fixed on the rear side. The movement with two pairs of sound combs, axis, guide sheave for the pinned disc, clamping rod and sprocket wheel. Sound combs contains 159 teeth. The winding crank is put on vertical shaft located on the movement. The case serves as an acoustic resonator. The disc music box is mounted on wooden pedestal with facade in the shape a hinged panel door with handle, mortise lock and ornately shaped carved consoles on the sides. The storage box with compartments for storing exchangeable pinned discs is fixed on the door inner side. Coin selector with lock is mounted on the sliding cradle in the case upper right inner corner. When the spring is winded and a coin is dropped, pinned disc put on the axis and fixed with the clamping rod starts to rotate. Pins on the disc rear side make sound combs’ teeth sound in the definite order. Winding crank, key and nineteen exchangeable pinned discs are in the set. Music media: pinned musical disc.
