One more exhibit from the Museum "Collection" is displayed on the external platform. New exposition "One-storeyed America: based on real life" was opened at MMAM in Tverskoy Boulevard, 9 on March 24.

This joint project of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and Mikhail Bulgakov's Museum is devoted to a trip of writers Ilya Ilf and Evgeny Petrov to America in 1935-1936. The project at MMAM will allow our contemporaries to follow the journey of two Soviet writers that began in Pravda newspaper editorial office, stretched through all America – at the period of the Great depression, and was finished in Moscow.

The audience will be able to see unique documents, letters, postcards, photos and artifacts. Some of them are exposed for the first time. Curators of the exhibition have thoroughly reconstructed the authentic atmosphere and details of the epoch. Our phonograph, produced by the well-known American firm "Thomas A. Edison", is one of the important material symbols of the time of rapid communication development between the European and American continents.

The exposition will be open until May 22, 2016.
