Skeleton clock in moulded stylized egg-shaped frame are mounted on black wooden base with rounded corners, with top panel of brown fabric with rhombuses-shaped painting. Two-sections frame is connected by ten horizontal rods. Hours striking bell and musical movement are fixed above the dial. The musical movement is comprised of carillon with eight bells, eight hammers, pinned cylinder for seven tunes and ring indicators for turning on/off the strike “STRIKE / SILENT” with the maker's data “Rippin / SPALDING” and list of Scottish folk patriotic and popular melodies with the hands, the repeater lever is on the right-hands side. Ring silvered clock face with hours' graduation by the Roman numerals, minutes' divisions and two blued hands. Three rods for winding the clock, strike and musical movement are below. The clockwork is pendulum, with lever escapement, of the deadbeat type, eight-days winding reserve, three spring motors, three fusees, an hour hammer strike on gong that is mounted on a separate stand, with one of seven tunes played on carillon and repeater. The key is in the set.
