The phonograph mechanism is mounted on rectangular varnished wooden base. When not in use, the mechanism is closed by a wooden lid equipped with a carrying handle. The side wall of the lid features a red decal depicting the trademark: a phonograph, a crowing rooster, and a banner inscribed with the motto “JE CHANTE HAUT ET CLAIR” (I sing loud and clear), all framed by a floral vignette.
