The phonograph designed to play records from phonograph cylinders is housed within walnut-veneered wooden case raised on four round feet, featuring a protruding molded base and protruding cornice decorated with carved ovoid ornament. When not in use, the phonograph is closed by a removable wooden lid, equipped with a carrying handle. The lid is secured by locking hooks that engage with the case latches. On the front right side of the case, there is a trademark decal depicting a Gallic rooster crowing in front of a phonograph horn, along with a banner inscribed “DE CHANTE HAUT ET CLAIR”.
