Cast-metal chassis of the phonograph mechanism is mounted within a rectangular wooden case with a narrow baseboard. A cast frame is screwed to the underside of the chassis, housing a spring-driven motor complete with a gear train and a centrifugal governor. Detachable winding crank is inserted into a socket on the case right side. Mounted on the upper side of the chassis is a cast frame structure that supports the components of the phonograph cylinder drive mechanism.
