Inscriptions on the oval plate: “PHONOGRAPHE LIORET/BTE SGDG PATENT/PARIS” and brand logos shaped as a small shield containing the letters “HL” and a musical note between them, positioned in the center of larger shield and surrounded by the words “PHONOGRAPHE LIORET/MARQUE DÉPOSÉE”. Serial number “1688” and a mark shaped as two crossed swords are on the movement plate
The phonograph is designed to reproduce sound recorded on standard wax phonograph cylinders. The main assemblies of the phonograph are mounted on a nickel-plated metal top plate, which is screwed to a flat wooden base. The parts of the spring-driven motor, complete with a centrifugal governor, are assembled between two vertical, shaped frame plates.
