    The cast chassis supporting the phonograph mechanism is mounted on the top cover of a rectangular wooden case featuring a molded base. A golden banner logo reading “EDISON STANDARD PHONOGRAPH” is applied via decalcomania to the front side of the case. The chassis is finished in black enamel and decorated with a border and ornament of fine golden lines.
