J., U.S.A.”, patent dates ranging from October 27, 1896 to October 3, 1905; serial number: “537718”. On the edge of the cylinder: “Thomas A. Edison/PAT’D.DRP. 634. “ORCHESTER WEIN, WEIB,GESANG”
Cast chassis supporting the phonograph mechanism is mounted on the top cover of rectangular wooden case featuring a molded base. The4 “EDISON” logo is applied via decalcomania to the case front side. The chassis is finished by black enamel and decorated with double border and ornament of fine goldixh lines. A spring-driven motor is mounted inside the case.
