On the cylinder: “1475/Polka des Compliments. /Bte S.G.D.G/ Pathé/ 19227.”. On the sound box: “37682/LICENSED FOR USE ONLY ON EDISON PHONOGRAPHS, SOLD BY THOMAS A. EDISON, INC.”

    The intricately shaped cast chassis supporting the phonograph mechanism is mounted on the top cover of a rectangular wooden case featuring a molded base and paneled side walls. A logo reading “EDISON – TRIUMPH - PHONOGRAPH” on a scrolling golden banner is applied via decalcomania to the front side of the case.
