Film juke-box is housed in wooden case decorated with plastic imitating wood, wooden elements, moldings and perforated panels of anodized aluminum, on four movable supports. Chrome-plated panel with selecting keys for one of 36 installed films, cards with numbers and movies titles is mounted on the inclined front surface. Wooden frame, covered with a gold-colored metal mesh is above. Dynamic loudspeaker is behind it. The inscription “Scopitone” on black background is beneath it. Red lamp is on the left-hand side. Metal plate with coin selector slot with the inscription “QUARTERS ONLY”, coin reject button with the inscription “COIN RETURN”, green bulb, niche for coins, film juke-box operating manual are beneath.
Milk glass translucent screen, protective plastic panel and perforated panel is mounted in black frame.
A rotary mechanism with 36 reels with 16 mm format films magnetic sound track, transistor amplifier, vertical frame with wiring patch board and relay, activating on/off keys, fuse holders, a fan cable outlet, with film juke-box fixed part with film-handling mechanism, with lens and mirror; with sound magnetic head; film and winding motors, the film juke box movable part with lamp and condenser are installed inside the casing. Removable door with two handles-locks with fan, tightened with metal mesh, the cable output with double poles plug and nameplates are on the rear side.
Before watching a movie, you need to drop 5 francs coin and select a film according to the instruction. The mechanism will bring the selected film to the audio-visual machine, the motor will be activated, and demonstration of a musical or comedy sound film will start on the screen. After the film ends, the rewind mode starts. Manual rewinding is also possible.
