In the image of the dancer, Colinet conveys the character of a folk dance through a restrained yet expressive gesture: her bent arms are raised to her shoulders, and a slight tilt of her head enlivens the nearly symmetrical pose. The small figure is perceived primarily through its meticulously detailed costume: the short skirt, vest, headdress, and decorative trim form an intricate pattern of details. The light ivory of the face and hands contrasts with the bronze clothing, while the gilding and silvering enhance the festive quality of the surface. At the same time, the compact pose maintains a clear silhouette without overloading the composition. According to archival materials, the sculpture depicts a Slovakian dancer in a national costume.
