The sides, lid, and base are covered with white and blue enamel trellis pattern containing green and yellow rosette inside each cell. The canted corners of the snuffbox are decorated with the depiction of an urn with flowers, executed in gold against a white enamel ground. The lid features an oval painted enamel miniature depicting a young man with a gun in his hand presenting a bird to a lady seated opposite him. The miniature is enclosed in the ornamental frame. The edge of the lid is decorated with the geometric pattern border. The edges of the walls are highlighted with narrow friezes of a leafy ornament; the base is adorned with wide border along its edge. The stop is decorated with inset large diamond.
