    The lid inner side features the manufacturer's marks: the initials "FJ" (Frères Jordan) with a crown above and a flower shoot below, a Vienna city mark, an intertwined letter "S", a monogram "M", and a stylized bird's head. There are also sunburst hallmarks, three marks showing a crossed letter "S", and the number "6594" on the rim

    The gold snuffbox, rectangular in shape, bevelled vertical edges and a hinged lid. The lid features an oval micromosaic medallion depicting the Ponte Lucano and the Tomb of the Plautii near Tivoli, enclosed in a twisted cord border of white and gold enamel. The medallion is set against rectangular gold ground with chased leaves and flowers. The surface of the lid and the base are decorated with vertical black enamel stripes containing gold circles of various diameters, all within white enamel frame. The sides are adorned with rectangular black enamel panels featuring gold circles enclosed in white enamel frame. The gold sections of the lid, base, and corner facets are decorated with engraved floral garland patterns.
