On the base exterior side: "О.КУРЛ…"; Moscow city mark – St. George the Victorious on horseback slaying the dragon with a spear, alongside the "84" standard fineness code.
Pair of silver-gilt saltcellars, each shaped as a low pot with the flared rim, resting on three smooth ball-shaped feet and fitted with a glass liner. The surface of the saltcellars is decorated with multi-colored cloisonné (filigree) enamel pattern featuring blue six-petaled rosette and stylized red, dark blue, and light blue flower with symmetrically arranged long blue, red, and light blue leaves, accented with dots of white enamel. The pattern is set against white enamel background. The top and bottom rims of each saltcellar are accentuated with the twisted filigree wire.
The semi-circular liner, made of clear colourless glass, is decorated on the bottom with a multi-ray star.
