Marks. On the outer surface of one of the side plates: the firm's mark – "О. КУРЛЮКОВЪ"; the artel's mark – "31А"; the verification mark of the Moscow District Assay Office of 1908–1917 for small component parts. On the outer surface of the upper plate: the artel's mark – "31А"; the "triple" hallmark of the Moscow District Assay Office of 1908–1917 – a woman's head in a kokoshnik turned to the right, with the fineness number "84" and the district code letter represented by the Greek letter "delta".
The blotter is rectangular, with rounded wooden lower part, with silver handle featuring rounded finial. The upper and side parts of the blotter are covered with silver plates: the side ones are smooth, the upper one is decorated with stylized, in the Neo-Russian style, ornament in the form of large circular rosette made of floral scrolls with extending stylized leaves. The rounded finial of the handle is decorated with band of scroll-balls; the space around the handle is accentuated along the long side by strip adorned in the middle with row of small scroll-balls, along the short side by sagging "garland" with scroll-balls.
