The sugar tongs are made of gilded silver, flat, with pointed-oval cups at the ends. The outer surface of the tongs is decorated with a niello pattern on a chased (granulated) background: an ornamental band of crinons and zigzags adorns the edges of the cups; a floral ornament of intertwined stems with leaves and trefoils decorates the upper part of the tongs; a smooth circular medallion is located on the bend.
