    Hallmarks on the outer surface of the bottom: poorly legible maker's mark – “ОВ” (?); triple hallmark of the Moscow city assay district: initials of the assay master “В∙С” above the date “1869”, silver fineness number “84”, and the city coat of arms – St. George the Victorious on horseback slaying a dragon with a spear; French import mark for goods from the early 20th century in the form of a swan.

    Silver, gilded tray (stand), circular in shape, featuring slightly flared molded rim and resting on three rounded feet. It is decorated with niello ornament executed against matted background. Center of the tray features coat of arms of the von Derviz noble family, included in Part 13 of the General Armorial of Noble Families of the Russian Empire, consisting of shield surmounted by crowned noble helmet with torse, and crest in the form of two eagle wings with five-pointed star between them. Inside the shield is fess, with five-pointed star above it and heart below it. Image is framed by narrow bands of floral and geometric (net-like) ornaments with inserts of small circular medallions containing stylized rosette inside, wider band with smooth festooned ornament, and wide band of large circular medallions interspersed with patterns of floral shoots and oriental vine script. Inside the medallions is ornament of triangles and small six-petal rosettes. Oriental vine script decorates edge of the tray rim.
