    Hallmarks on the inner surface of the bottom and the handle: poorly legible maker's mark – “ОВ” (?); triple hallmark of the Moscow city assay district: initials of the assay master “В∙С” above the date “1869”, silver fineness number “84”, and the city coat of arms – St. George the Victorious on horseback slaying a dragon with a spear; French import mark for goods from the early 20th century in the form of a swan.

    Silver, gilded vase with circular body widened in lower part and molded top edge, featuring arched hinged handle. Surface of the vase is decorated with belts of niello geometric (net-like) ornament executed against matted background, with inserts of small circular medallions with stylized rosettes in upper and lower rows. Wide middle belt is adorned with composition of large circular medallions interspersed with patterns of small shoots and oriental vine script. All medallions, except for one containing coat of arms of the von Derviz noble family, are filled with geometric ornament of triangles and small six-petal rosettes. Bottom and top of the vase are highlighted by band of stylized floral ornament. Oriental vine script decorates edge of the vase rim; net-like ornament adorns handle.
