The internal edge of the frame, outlining the right-angled cut for the photograph, is rimmed with a silver stripe in the form of a mailed chain and is supplemented by two silver plated intersecting anchors tangled with winding silver string, imitating piping. A black and white photo of the Crown Prince Alexey (1904-1918) is set into the frame.
