Marks on the mount: mark of the firm "Ф ЛОРIE" (F. LORIÉ), the workshop's mark "Е.Ч" (E.CH); assay marks of the Moscow District Assay Office of 1908-1917 featuring a right-facing female head wearing a kokoshnik with a dot behind the neck enclosed within a circle; "84" zolotnik fineness code. Faience marks: "ST.LuКAS UTRECHT", "MADE IN HOLLAND", "103", "K"
Pear-shaped faience vase coated in rich turquoise glaze with luster finish and fitted with silver mount. The narrow, ring-shaped rim mount is decorated with the chased relief band of holly leaves. The adjoining pierced neck mount is decorated in the Art Nouveau style with complex openwork composition depicting swallows amidst the branches of a blossoming cherry tree (sakura).
