"Circus Parade" is in full swing in the museum Collection (video)

The thematic exhibition "Circus Parade!", which presents unique dolls of the second half of the 19th and early 2th centuries from the museum Collection repository, is in full swing.

The exhibition "Circus Parade" allows visitors to immerse themselves in the enchanting atmosphere of Parisian circus performances from the time of the La Belle Époque and learn how the controlling and musical mechanisms of the amazing circus performers - the automata puppets - are constructed!

Within the framework of this exhibition, visitors can discover the history of the companies that created mechanical dolls and learn how automata are created and how their mechanisms are constructed. The exhibition features works by renowned French artisans such as Gustave Vichy, Jean Marie Phalibois, Alexandre Theroude, Leopold Lambert, Jean Roullet, Ernest Decamp, and others.

New columns were launched on the museum Collection website - publications related to the new themed exhibition. These are the cycles "Circus Art History" and "Characters of the thematic exhibition "Circus Parade".
