Presentation of the annual collection edition "Russian Silhouette"

Last week, at the Collection Museum, actresses and designers showed modern images of fairy-tale characters in the art calendar of the Russian Silhouette Charitable Foundation*.

The Russian Silhouette Charitable Foundation under the tutelage of Tatiana Mikhalkova and Alexander Mitroshenkov invited actresses and designers to blend the heroes of their favorite fairy tales in the modern haute couture on the pages of a new photo calendar. In the in tough times, everyone deserves some magic and miracle. The project traditionally presents Russian art through the lens of contemporary art photography.

Tatyana Mikhalkova, President of the Foundation says, “Our foundation has been supporting young talented designers from various cities of Russia and neighboring countries for many years. Next year we are going to celebrate our 25th anniversary! During this time, the finalists of our competition have trained with leading Russian designers and at world fashion houses. The winners studied at the institutes in Milan, London, Florence, and participated in Fashion Weeks. Each season, we receive more than 3000 applications for competition from all over the country, from which we select the best. Our task is to support them in time and enable young designers to reveal their talent! Every year, one of the finalists participates in the shooting of the calendar along with eminent couturiers. Together with the friends of the fund, we strive to do everything to make wearing Russian brands prestigious. One of them is a brilliant artist who made Russian fashion appreciate all over the world, Slava Zaitsev. The collection of this amazingly talented person is the centerpiece of our evening. Young designers have a lot to learn from him".

The evening highlight was the show of the haute couture collection of the Russian fashion artisan, People's Artist of Russia, Vyacheslav Zaitsev. Bright colors, traditional patterns, floral elements of costumes are presented in modern interpretation of the singular Russian culture. The art pieces presented on the catwalk were specially selected from various collections in a fabulous calendar style. It seemed that they had just left the pages of books. The outfits looked so fantastic and lush.

The impression of luxurious outfits was enhanced by the museum Collection, which houses priceless exhibits of world cultural significance. Ancient self-playing musical instruments and mechanical rarities, paintings and graphics, art bronze and silver, glass and crystal, seemed to share their history and take guests to the world of fairy godmother and evil witches.

The museum Collection staff wishes success and creative inspiration to the entire team and wards of the Russian Silhouette Foundation. We wish prosperity and health to its inspirers - Tatyana Mikhalkova and Alexander Mitroshenkov, and to the audience - new discoveries and bright events of the Russian Silhouette Foundation in the upcoming year 2022!

The presentation of the previous art calendar "Collector's Piece" was held in museum  Collection in December 2019.

* Edition "Russian Silhouette" is a bestseller in the world of the fashion industry. Calendar pages testify the creative collaboration of renowned designers, famous actresses, media personalities and photo artists.
