On November 14, museum Collection hosted the opening of the Association of Musical Theaters Scientific and Practical Conference, one of the most significant events in the sphere of contemporary Russian professional musical theater.

Every year, the AMT Conference brings together the leadership of the majority of musical theaters to exchange practical experience and share their ideas, identify the problems of the contemporary theater process and jointly the development direction.

The AMT Conference is a content for dialogue, solidarity and unification, therefore it is especially important that this year the opening of the Conference was held at the museum Collection.

The event takes place within the framework of the sixth festival of Russian musical theaters "Perceive Music", more details about the festival program can be found on the website of the festival and the Association of Musical Theaters. Combining theater and museum areas seem extremely important and timely today, when the present day quires new, multi-genre, cross-institutional projects and initiatives designed to find new ways to reach theaters and museums common audiences and forms of interaction with it.

The Association of Musical Theaters President, Artistic Director of the Moscow State Opera and Ballet Theater for Young Audience named after Natalya Sats, Georgiy Isaakyan noted that he welcomes the possibility for everyone to meet and see each other, and to discuss face to face the most acute challenges that contemporary musical theater is currently facing. Moreover, G. G. Isaakyan thanked the museum for the opportunity to get incredible impressions of music and history, for the unique opportunity to become acquainted with human genius, for the stunning atmosphere of the museum Collection space.
