Today at 6 pm a lecture “Keepers of Time. The history of watchmaking” will be held.
Within its framework we will talk about the interest of mankind in time, learn about the first clocks and their diversity, talk about the role of mechanics in the development of watchmaking, recall the biographies of prominent watchmakers of the 18th-19th centuries, get acquainted with their inventions and innovations, and examine clocks and watches, as a personification of their owners’ status.
