Among the new items in the "Mantel and table clocks" subsection are table musical clocks, clocks with strike and chime, clocks with automata by English, French and Chinese artisans of the 18th-19th centuries in cases made of various materials. While manufacturing cases, French masters used, as a rule, gilded bronze casting, bearing a certain artistic image. English clocks have classical design with more sophisticated chime and musical movement. The cases of Chinese clocks are distinguished by the national raciness of the decor.
