The National Research University Higher School of Economics, a long-time partner of the museum Collection, hosts the 21st April International Scientific Conference on Economic and Social Development.

This year, the Higher School of Economics announced that the April Conference will be held in a distributed format https://conf.hse.ru/2020

The distributed format ensures maximum opportunities for discussion and debate about the key developments and trends in economy and society. A number of sessions will be held online.

Sectional workshops will run for two months, and the presentation of reports and their discussions will be organized online.

The Conference features a diverse agenda concerning social and economic development in Russia. The major part of reports will include presentations by Russian and international academics, roundtables and plenary sessions with participation of the Russian Federation Government members, governmental officials, business representatives, and leading Russian and foreign experts.

725 representatives from 55 countries have registered to participate in the XXI April Conference. All of them, as well as other researchers and experts, will have the opportunity to discuss the reports that were selected while reviewing. Along with new format workshop sessions, other conference events, including associated ones, will be held.

There is every reason to believe that this year the April International Scientific Conference will not only show results according to its high rating, but also enhance the image of a platform on which the latest outstanding research results are presented and competent discussions on the most challenging and acute problems of social development are held. This year the site becomes virtual for the first time.
