On November 2, 2018 the anniversary of Mark Antokolsky, the greatest master of Russian sculptural school of the second half of the 19^th century, is celebrated.

The works of the sculptor on religious and historical topics are executed in realistic manner, they are inherent in humanism, deep psychologism, depict philosophical and ethical problems. The sculptor reflected the smallest historical details and created authentic images in his works.

The legacy of the sculptor-realist M. Antokolsky comprises a bright page in the history of the Russian art; it has been included in the world treasure house of art culture.
