Restorer’s day is celebrated in Russia on the 1st of July (video)
On July 1, Important professional holiday – Restorer’s day is celebrated in Russia on July 1.
This holiday is quite young. The Committee on state control, utilization and protection of historical and cultural monuments established it in 2006.
The date was chosen purposefully. The Builder’s day is traditionally celebrated in July. Until 2006, masters-restorers were honored within the framework of this holiday. For another thing, there is a historical link - the Council of People's Commissars established the Architectural and Restoration Workshops affiliated to Leningrad City Council for carrying out large-scale restoration works on July 1, 1945.
Restoration center of the Museum Collection has been working for more than 10 years, specializing in the following areas: restoration and tuning of musical instruments, automatas and clocks, in art works and wood works.
We congratulate all specialists of our Restoration center, as well as the fellow restorers from various museum institutions on this professional holiday!
We wish all of you creative growth, patience in your diligent work and amazing discoveries!
Please, accept our sincere gratitude for your meticulous work, restoration skills mastery and experience!
