The exhibition "Sculptor Paolo Troubetzkoy" will be open in the State Tretyakov Gallery on June 22

The exposition of the sculptor Paolo Troubetzkoy (1866–1938) creative works will be open in the Tretyakov Gallery on June 22.

Prince Paolo Troubetzkoy (1866–1938) has a special niche of an impressionist sculptor endowed with an authentic and ingenious gift. His oeuvre belongs to the both countries: to Russia - the homeland to his ancestors, and to Italy, the country, where he was born, evolved as an artist and lived a larger part of his life.

More than twenty-five years have passed since the first exhibition of Troubetzkoy's works in Moscow, held in 1991.

About eighty works will be exhibited at the current exhibition: twenty of them - from the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery, a number of significant works - from the State Russian Museum. Almost half of the exhibits – forty portraits, statuettes, compositions - are works from the Museum "Collection" fund.

Most of the exhibits presented at the exhibition, Moscow audience and specialists will see for the first time.
