The solemn ceremony of awarding by President of Russia certificates of merit and commendations was held in the Ministry of Culture on December 25. The members of the Public council at the Ministry of Culture, the founder of the Museum Collection David Iakobachvili among them, came to the stage. The Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky thanked the Public council for active work and has handed awards and certificates to its members. "Dear colleagues, all members of the present Public council have been working very actively for three years. They were our most attentive, benevolent, deeply competent advisers and critics. Those who pointed to the mistakes, prompted in what direction it is necessary to move, what needs to be corrected and what it is necessary to pay more attention to”, - said Mr. Medinsky. He also reminded that the body of the Council would be rotated to comply with new standards of formation.
