Singing bird box in a case that looks like a casket of gilded silver in the Rococo style. The body is massive cast, richly decorated with rococo-style decorative elements - curls and cartels in combination with flowers. In the center of the upper fixed lid is a small oval hinged lid with cast decorations in the form of a basket with flowers and curls surrounding the mascaron. The lid is automatically opened when the mechanism is activated; a miniature bird in painted feathers appears from under it. It turns in place, flaps its wings, opens and closes the beak. The sound movement imitates bird’s chirping. At the end of the program, the bird is hidden under an openwork silver lattice and the lid is lowered.
The lid inner surface is smooth. A rod with a black chiseled grip - the switch of the singing bird movement is on the right lateral side. A keyhole is on the corrugated bottom side.
