    Singing bird box in rectangular case of dark blue Afghani lapis lazuli with a hinged top lid, on four cylindrical chiseled metal feet. An oval cameo made of white agate with a portrait of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky sitting in a chair is in the center, triangular decorative pads of yellow metal are on the corners. An openwork onlay for opening the lid is on the front side. The crank for the music movement winding and the trigger lever. A blue cabochon in a ring frame is on the protruding end of the lever. The box inner surface is lined with thin panels of light lacquered wood. Swiss music movement with a cylinder and a sound comb with 72 teeth is installed in the bottom panel center.

    The movement performs three fragments from Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1. The change of fragments occurs automatically. The name of the brand "Romance" is on the spring barrel. A transparent plexiglass panel fixed by four racks with blue cabochon screw heads closes compartment with music movement.
