A composition of four cast figurines of fictitious beings is mounted on oval stepped wooden pedestal with bordeaux-colored velvet covered upper part. The figurines are sitting on octagonal base and holding ornately shaped vase with the inserted double glass tube on their heads. The bracket in the form of herbal composition, supporting the engraved bezel of round transparent dial with black Roman numerals for hours’ designation. Double concentric scale with 60 large minutes’ divisions, each divided into three small parts. The axis of the gilded hours’ hand that has the form of an arrow crosses the dial center. The hands have no visible connection with the clockwork and are driven by the rotating inner glass disc. The movement from the clockwork to the hour hand is transmitted via rotating inner glass tube and worm gear. The movement from the hour hand to the minute hand is transmitted via miniature gearbox in the dial center. The clockwork in the base has eight-day power reserve, half hour chime on the bell and attachable lever escapement. Three apertures for winding the clockwork and setting the hands are in the base rear side. The clock belongs to the forth series of Mystery Clock by the French watchmaker Eugene Robert Houdin with translucent glass dial and two hands.
