The horizontal sheet consisting of two parts features a military topographic map of Caucasus with the indication of state, administrative-territorial and ethnic territorial borders, as well as cities and settlements. The map with a detailed description of the territory is compiled on the basis of the maps of the Russian General Headquarters.
On the bottom left, in the cartouche there is an inscription in German: "KARTE vom KAUKASUS nach der russischen General-Stabs Karte in 4 Bl. und ander guten Materialien entworfen und gezeichnet von F.Handtke. Litographie, Druck und Verlag C.Flemming in Glogau".
On the top right there is an explication in German "Russland vollig unterworfene Lander" with the indication of symbols, names of the dominions and districts and the explanation of the borders.
Above the grade frame at the top, on the right and on the left there is an inscription in German: "Russisch Turkischer Kriegsschauplatz in Azien. No 1" и "Russisch Turkischer Kriegsschauplatz in Azien. No 2".
The scale is given in German miles and Russian versts.
The subscriptions and inscriptions are in German.
