Inscriptions on the sound box: “Le CAHIT/DEPOSE”. On the horn inner side: “DEPOSE/SELON LA LOI/26 NOVEMBRE 1897”. On the bracket: “25”; on the speed regulator scale/on the movement plate: “1437/BTE S.G.D.G.”
The open phonograph mechanism is mounted on a rectangular nickel-plated metal plate fixed on a wooden stand. The drive mechanism with a spring-driven motor, a brake, and a centrifugal speed governor is positioned on the right side of the plate.
