On the circular decalcomania: “THE GRAPHOPHONE AND COLUMBIA RECORDS WERE AWARDED THE GRAND PRIZE AT THE PARIS EXPOSITION OF 1900”. On the front decalcomania: “THE GRAPHOPHONE/ PATENTED MAY 4. 1886. The nickel-plated panel of the phonograph mechanism supporting chassis is mounted on the top side of a rectangular wooden case. Goldish banner depicting the inscription “THE GRAPHOPHONE” is applied to the front side of the case. A circular brass plate reading “MADE IN U.S.A.” is fixed next to it. Two-spring motor is mounted on the underside side of the chassis.
