The automaton is mounted on rectangular wooden base raised on low turned feet. When the automaton is switched on, the figure of a young woman comes to life: her hands, holding a spindle, rise and lower, and her head turns from side to side and tilts forward. The action is accompanied by the melody played by musical movement equipped with a cylinder and a sound comb.
