Disc music box is mounted in vertical rectangular wooden fine wood veneered case. The door with an arched glazed window is its facade. Artistic color vignette and the Art Nouveau style inscription “Comet” on greenish-yellowish background is painted on the glass. Chiselled fluted ornately shaped columns with Ionic capitals are on the window sides. Two triangular acoustic windows, closed by openwork carved lattices with foliage ornament are above the arch. The balustrade with chiselled phials at the corners is above the massive stepped cornice. The coin slot, the nameplate with the inscription in German and an aperture for the winding crank are on the case right lateral case. Spring motor is mounted inside the case that is activated when a coin is dropped in. The glazed casing with lock closes the motor. Musical movement on cast mounting plate is fixed to the case rear side. It is with two pairs of sound combs, axle and guiding pulley for pinned disc, clamping rod and driving sprocket. Sound combs consist of 166 teeth. The entire case serves as acoustic resonator. Disc music box is fixed on wooden stand with the facade in the form of a hinged paneled door with handle, mortise lock and ornately shaped carved consoles on the sides. Foldable storage box for removable pinned discs is attached to the inner side of the door. A box with compartments for storing removable pinned discs is fastened to the door inner side. Pullout drawer for coins is skid- mounted in the case right upper inner corner. When the spring movement is winded and a coin is dropped in, the pinned disc, mounted on the axle and fixed by the clamping rod, begins to rotate. Pins on the disc rear side make the sound comb teeth sound in a particular order. The winding crank two keys and sixteen exchangeable metal pinned discs are in the set.
    Music media: pinned metal discs.
