The sculpture depicts a dancer in a Harlequin costume during a performance. Her legs are crossed, one placed in front of the other; her torso leans to the side and slightly backward. One arm is bent and raised to her chest, while the other is extended to the side. Her head is thrown back and turned to the side. She wears a close-fitting costume with a diamond pattern, a large ruffled collar and cuffs, and heeled shoes. The figure is set on a shaped base of green banded onyx.
