The sculpture depicts the goddess Justice as a seated blindfolded woman. One arm is extended to the side and holds the hilt of a large sword; the other is lowered and rests on the scales positioned on her lap. Her torso is upright and her head slightly bowed. The lower part of the figure is draped in a long cloth that falls in folds toward her feet. The composition is set on a rectangular base of green banded stone.
