Waist-length bust of a young African girl with her head turned to the right. She is depicted with thick hair tucked under a turban and drapery cast over her shoulder. The image is accessorized with large earrings and an upper arm bracelet. The bust, on a turned socle, is mounted on a marble base. The piece is cast in silvered bronze, with the elements of the attire, jewelry, and the socle gilded.
