A waist-length bust of Ismail Pasha, the Ruler of Egypt. He is depicted in a military uniform with epaulettes, decorations on his chest, an order sash across his shoulder, and a fez on his head. The bust rests on a goblet-shaped pedestal mounted on rectangular wooden base. Between the bust and the socle, there is an oval medallion featuring mirrored letters 'P' inside. The medallion is surmounted by a crown and surrounded by military trophies (armature).
Isma'il Pasha – Ruler of Egypt in 1863-1879. The third son of Ibrahim Pasha. He expanded the autonomy of Egypt, which was considered part of the Ottoman Empire. He carried out reforms that objectively contributed to the capitalist development and effective modernization of the country.
