A full-length sculptural figure of a Cossack fallen asleep at his post is set on an irregularly shaped base with a textured ground. He is depicted wearing a cherkeska with gazyri (cartridge loops), adorned with two medals; a papakha (fur hat) is on his head, and chuvyaki (soft leather shoes) are on his feet. A rifle is slung over his shoulder on a strap; a dagger and a saber are fastened to his belt.
