An artistically designed menu text is presented on a rectangular, vertically oriented sheet. The list of dishes in French is given in the lower-left section of the sheet. The text is framed by multi-figure pictorial composition located on the right side of the sheet. At the top are putti bearing the coat of arms of the House of Romanov, holding a crown and an ermine mantle above it, along with a floral garland. Below the coat of arms is a putto holding a dish with bread and a salt shaker. The right side of the sheet depicts an interior under a shaped roof with the monogram “CA” (Sergei Alexandrovich). Inside is an image of a set table with a goblet, a bowl, and a rooster, with putti standing by the table, each engaged in an activity: some carry trays, others hold small kegs, a third is cooking something in a cauldron, and still others are hauling a dragnet.
