A bird is carved from Brazilian amethyst to shade from the translucent smokiness of the head, though the soft mauve of the body, to the clear white of the rocky outcrop on which it is perched. With garnet eyes and golden beak and claws and rocky base, it is raised over a hexagonal bowl-form piece of clear quartz, edged in gold, atop the oblong obsidian base with bevelled corners and gold edging.
