Jasper, tourmaline; carving, polishing
Length 11.5 cm
Signed with monogram EB and M. Wild
Carved from a variety of spotted Madagascar jasper which is known as "orbicular" jasper (so named due to its circular patterns). The carving fully conveys the moist skin texture of the amphibian. The inset eyes are formed of cat's eye blue-green tourmalines.
