Created in the 1960s, most likely of the Siberian nephrite. The form of this carved frog harkens back to walking sticks handles or seals created by Fabergé. The eyes are set with small gold rimmed diamonds. The translucent frog perches atop a piece of translucent white chalcedony, the flat base of which is suitable for engraving.
