Saltcellar in the shape of a low pot on the circular base, made in the Neo Russian style. The saltcellar external surface is decorated with the painted enamel-over-filigree girdle of floral design with the image of a large stylised pomegranate flower. Inside the salt cellar, a coin is soldered to its bottom -- a Russian rouble of the 1860's and legends "B*M*EKATERINA*II*IMP*I SAMOD VSEROS" and "SPB". The coin is framed with filigree braid.
The enamel colour scheme is built on a combination of blue, white, yellow, green and red tints.
